Default Help an oldish player sort his vault

I played bought the trilogy back on 2010 played through prophecies and did some of the other campaigns but not all and then stopped playing, cant remember why though..lol Anyways I found The box I had from back then for Eye of the North and reinstalled the game after managing to get my account back via support, which was very helpful I must add. I would like to work on getting more HOM points, standing at 8 right now, and I have indeed found advice on that via googling.

That said I'm a little lost as I wasn't ever an expert at the game in the first place and need some help sorting my vault as I am sure there are some stuff in there that isn't worth the space so I will list some of my junk here and hopefully some of you knowledgeable people will let me know what to npc and what is worth keeping!

What profession are your various characters? Use the Runes on them if prof related. Or on a hero. Use Survivor and Vitae and Attunement on you or a hero too.

Any other runes that you don't need check with the rune traders and if cheap to sell then sell them. That means they are cheap to buy if you ever need them.

Place bag of holding with rune expanding it to 10 slots on your character if you haven't already along with the other already expanded bag. Or save for another character you plan to create.

Save your black dyes. If you want to dye your max armor that color it is way too expensive for you to buy in game at this point for you I'd guess. Otherwise they are like a savings account you can cash in later if needed. And always always ALWAYS sell all dyes to the dye trader and NOT NOT NOT the merchant. Black is way expensive but you only get one gold at a merchant, thousands at the dye trader.

Sorry but your weapon mods are very poor. I'd sell all unless you have nothing on your current weapon and something is better than nothing on it for now.

Save some of your weapons if your heroes need an upgrade and always keep either a longbow or flatbow on your own character for drawing mobs. They don't have to deal damage. Just pull a mob.

Also if you need to hold more items in the future and don't want to buy extra slots for your storage vault then use an empty character slot and create a PvP character as a "storage unit". Or even a PvE character but I'd suggest a Nightfall one so they can get to Kamadan and your storage vault asap. Also a Nightfall character can get your a nice free rune early on in the quests on Kamadan. Good for you or your heroes to use. And you get some tokens to turn in for expert salvage packs etc in the process.

Anyway give that character the extra holding bags (double click your rune of holding on the holding bag that isn't expanded yet) and store stuff in it. Buy ID and salvage kits and hammer down some of the stuff you get off killed baddies for the raw materials which can be worth more than just merching them but more important you can learn to make "con sets" (see wiki for info) from or buy armor sets with them.

Most MOST important though is join a guild so you can get info in the moment from people. Equally important is consult wiki. Wiki is your friend.

And wiki will give you an idea of where your mods say stand. Like an insightful head for a staff at +3 like you have is not worth anything since you want the +5 one. If you are a caster with a modable staff then sure use the +3 until you can find a +5 mod instead. Or give it to a hero like Vekk until you can find him a better one. But +3 insightful head is really worth nothing to any other player in the game I'm afraid.

Also in your guild hall or in a city check the dye trader, common and rare material traders and rune trader before going to a merchant. The merchant gives you the cheapest prices so only merch to him if the item doesn't apply to the other traders.

Glad you returned. Tons of playing time for years to come for you and all free. Enjoy yourself and learn (or re-learn) a little at a time. Make sure you use your heroes in Nightfall and Eye of the North areas as you get more skills for them and rune them out more and check out sights that will give you good party builds so you can play alone with an awesome party to help you. Start with the tried and true maybe like Heroway and Spiritway etc and experiment with what you want off of them say. Having 7 heroes in your party these days makes the game totally doable on your own for everything in NM and most things in HM.

Good luck to you and remember (1) join a guild asap and if that doesn't work out, just quit and find another. Kamadan in Nightfall (American Dist) is where you will find people the most. And, again, (2) wiki is your friend.

Thanks for the replies guys!

Pleikki I thought of posting in the PC board but felt it might appear I was trying to peddle off old junk so decided to post here.

Gadd Fan that was exactly the kind of reply I was looking for to help me off on my way! I am in the process right now of getting more heroes and getting skills for them. Noticed my heroes/skill composition is pretty bad so do some googling and will try something like this

2x Discord: OAhjUoGYITxMHVSTTODTRTVVbhA
1x ProtNecro: OANDUrpvSxM1NaRBE3V1DVVbhA
1x PanicMe: OQNEArsz11QDup5gpnpLDs8RjA
1x Paragon: OQCjUmmMaO84d8I2HXjtwBZcMA
1x SoS Rit: OACjEOiMJTlTdiXTVTYMYgMTJXA
1x MM Rit: OASjUwHIpOOzm5StKgG+E2hkLA

Haha noticed I was sitting on 44 skill points, tbh I think plat will be my main problem right now as the 15p I have is fast shrinking LOL.

Thanks again for the advice!

EDIT: I just noticed this was moved to the price check board which I think it shouldn't be in. I am not asking for any prices on any of the items but was looking for more general information like Gadd Fan has very kindly provided. Also due to the thread move I now appear to be in violation of the rules for ventari forums. :/

I feel like most of your questions were answered but feel free to inquire about anything else that you're curious about.

And if you want some help or donations, in order to increase your HoM points, then give me your IGN and I'll gladly help you out My IGN is Schmerdro Ravissen

But, about those builds you posted... I wouldn't bother with the Paragon hero nor the Rit MM. Instead I'd use a Necro MM with some Paragon shouts (like this OAljUwGpZSHVTBoBKgxM1Y7YybA ) and a Curses Necro with some Mesmer interrupts (such as OAVDIjxHP5AgaNb39JsDsBBA ). Jagged Bones can be especially annoying when used by heroes since it makes them very likely to stay behind, spamming that particular enchantment, which means that the minions will regularly stay in the back, instead of in front of the party where they can absorb damage and distract the enemy. Also, I find that Rit MM's don't have enough energy management and are too reliant on enchantments, which can be stripped during battle.

But those are just a few suggestions. Obviously you can play and experiment with anything you want

Yeah you can get skill points pretty quickly as you kill more stuff and lots of missions give a skill point to you for doing them each and every time. Some quests too. Think EotN does that a lot. As for XP points causing your number of skill points to rise. There are tons of mini quests in Factions in the main city of KC that offer 5000 or 10,000 pts a pop.

And don't forget the daily missions at Embark Beach. Don't know if you were around when it was created or had already left before then so forgive me if you already know all this. But the daily Z missions/bounties/vqs there are a good place to hook up with people too. Wiki has the schedule of these daily and a chart of what is coming up weeks in advance. Like NEXT week you get double points for the 4 title tracks turning in any Z bounties or missions in EoTN.

Example: This Friday you can pick up "Curse of the Nornbear" (the easiest of the EotN missions) and run it in a few minutes then wait to turn it in to the guy there in front of the ship until next Monday afternoon after 3 PM eastern I think. That way you get 3,000 Norn pts instead of 1,500 pts. (You can queue up to 3 things under each of missions/bounties/VQs and turn them in whenever so plenty of room to pick up other missions in the meantime). Small stuff like that adds up especially if you aren't too advanced in those four ranks. And each time you move up one level in those ranks the skill giver of that school gives you a free skill "for your heroes" which you can use too.

Same with Sunspear ranks in NF. And the special skills getting Faction ranks. And side quests in Proph will give free skills too at times.

Cheap way to build up basic skills for heroes without burning up skill points? Create a new character in a new profession in Nightfall and you can get free skills for them. And secondary skills for another profession too at level 5 I think. All your heroes on all characters can then use them. Delete that character then and create another.

Factions is easy to do that in too but NF is quicker as no quests to acquire them are needed. Just do the tutorial mission (Chebek Village) in about 5 minutes and the guy afterwards tells you to run off and get free skills in the nearby compound. There are 3 skill givers for each profession so don't stop with the first skill giver. Scan around and find all the skill givers. Maybe 9 to 12 of the basic skills free that way. They are now unlocked for all your heroes to use. Rinse and repeat in NF for all the professions except Rit and Sin which you will have to do in Factions.

As for parties I have the 8 hero pack so one of the mes and one of the rits in Heroway can be covered by my own characters as heroes since you have to go halfway thru NF to get your second Mes in the game (thank goodness for EotN's quick Mes) and all the way through to get your second rit and I recall you said you hadn't gotten through NF. But someone like an ele like Vekk with their huge energy reserves could run a decent enough rit or mes build too. I use SOS on my own main Ele a lot in small teams of 4 etc and Eles run SOS perfectly fine.

That flatbow...... +14% damage but you mention no condition with it... Can you clarify by writing down here exactly what it says or posting a screen shot of it please?

Here's some pics of the few things I kept I mostly merched/traded most of what I had barring dyes and some runes like advised.

I have a few other weapons but they are the bonus stuff from /bonus

@ Schmedro

Thanks for the tip on jagged bones, right now I am more focusing on the heroes I have and want to get while trying to make proper builds for the ones I do have as I feel they are not working that well together. Will experiment once I feel I got them set up better and keep your advice in mind.

As to HOM points I have some points but haven't much decided how many I really want to get I would like to definitely get to10/15 points but it will depend how difficult/time consuming it becomes. Also I am kind of enjoying the game right now so...I am in no hurry to run off to GW2 at all.

I only have two tapestries and have unlocked the "Devotion" Monument and "Fellowship".

As of now I think I would like to get more minis dedicated, I have 5 so far which are:

necrid horseman
siege turtle
kveldulf
cave spider
Elf (purple)

I will try to get more for this.

In the fellowship monument I have the animal companion and MOX up there only, I need to work on hero armor for my other companions. I should probably work on unlocking other monuments as well!

The Honor monument I think doesn't need a tapestry or I have one for it too as I have Eternal Hero of Tyria statue up there.

This has me at 8 point so far.

One thing I am trying to figure out is how to get the title Protector of Tyria, right now it show me at 24/25 but I am not sure how to "look" and see what I am missing..doesn't it have to do with the shield and two swords you see on map at outposts?

I think maybe it could be because I haven't gone past the "Last Day Dawns" quest?

Did the run the other night and used some "tips" to bring a full party in there and had 4/5 Armageddon groups done when I accidentally arggoed the King Adelbern, panicked and party wiped to shrine far south of the map and the king died before I could make it back to him...which is why I looked into setting up my heroes better! LOL

My IGN is Beldin Feldegast.

@ Gadd Fan

Most those 44 points I had I think was mostly from before when I played through prophecies and some of eye of the north. I believe I have quite a bit left two do in Factions and Nightfall most of the maps there don't have much unlocked.

In my log I have:

PRIMARY QUESTS
Against the Destroyers
Hunted!
The War in Kryta

PRIMARY EBON VANGUARD QUESTS
The missing vanguard

PRIMARY KRYTA QUESTS
Asuran Allies
Ebon vanguard allies

PRIMARY NORN QUESTS
Northern allies
Vision of the raven spirit

At least that's what I got to do for primary stuff there some other quest under specific headings like ascalon, crystal desert etc etc.

I think I will have to look up on the embark beach stuff as I don't remember any of that stuff, I think it might have just been added before I stopped playing or something. Will have to look into those daily mission and the like! Is funny you mention curse fo the norn bear as I just did this quest a day or so ago..lol

Never though of unlocking skill via creating a new character.. don't think I new you could do that when I played before. I have my main character Beldin as W/R and a lvl 6 assassin, the rest of my character slots are free. I will definitely try out that trick to save on the plat! I was changing my second prof on Beldin so I could then pay 1p to unlock each skill...lol

I have like 20 norm skill I want to unlock and some elite ones I need to hunt down and learn so I can try out the build I previously mentioned. One thing I am unsure of is which heroes are best suited for which builds, right now I have been looking at their main professions and going along with that.

For example I was planing on making giving Livia this build Discord: OAhjUoGYITxMHVSTTODTRTVVbhA

and just running other content to unlock more heroes like Master of Whispers which I don't have yet. Also I don't have the merc hero pack thing and not sure I will get it.

Last but not least thank you Cosyfiep for the reply about that, is good to know I don't have a forum spanking incoming! LOL

Yep. You get 2 swords once you finish both the mission and the bonus. So look on your map to find which mission you are missing. Last Day Dawns has nothing to do with the Protector title.

I looked on your HoM online and there are a few things I can do for you, if you want:
1. I could donate a variety of minipets that are just taking up my inventory space.
2. I can help you do a few quests in the Underworld so you can charm the Black Widow Spider pet.
3. We could do the Fissure of Woe and/or Domain of Anguish.
4. If you're short on cash, I don't mind giving you the plat and materials to craft an elite armor that you can dedicate to the HoM, but it has to cost less than 100k, including the materials.
5. I can also give you one Destroyer and one Oppressor weapon of your choice. You can look them up on the wiki to see which one you like.

And I suggest you think of the HoM as an organized list of things to do, and not as an excuse to quit GW and move to GW 2. That's how I've always looked at it
Oh, and if you're wondering why I'm willing to give you all of this stuff, it's because I tend to get a lot more things than I use... so it just adds up over time. And you seem like a thoughtful player so I want to kick-start your re-introduction to GW

Edit: That build you posted for Livia seems fine. It's not something I would use but I know it's a popular one. I would definitely recommend you unlock all 3 Necromancer heroes (Livia, Olias, and Master of Whispers) and then I suggest you finish Nightfall and unlock the hero Razah, who is initially a Ritualist but can change his primary profession to... say a 4th Necromancer or whatever you desire.

Yeah I was pretty much looking at HOM as a kind of overall goal I can keep an eye on as I play through the game and stuff I haven done yet.

I would be interested in any minipets I could get to dedicate! The other things I think I need to play the game more and maybe get some tapestries as I think they are locked till I use one on them.

For numbers 2 and 3 I don't think I am ready for that yet, I think I haven't even played enough to have access to those areas?

For number 4 and 5 that's a really generous offer but I need to work my way to a tapestry I think before I can dedicate to HOM.

Right now I am using "deldrimor" stuff? I have to admit I'm a little confused on the armor sets and what not right now. Don't all sets have the same "max stats" and the like but just use different skins.

I have dreadnought armor and gauntlets, templar helm and legging with sentinel boots.

I think I might have to do some research to see which sets are easier/cheap to farm buy mats for to craft so I can do that after getting that monument unlocked.

I wouldn't say no to a little starter amount of plat but I am not looking to clean out anyone here or abuse people generosity or looking for a "free ride" so to speak like I see some looking for in many mmo's! I'm assuming I wont be so plat poor as I play through faction and nightfall and complete those. lol

Any help you send my way is much appreciated.

Also I appreciate the replies you all have taken the time to make!

EDIT: OH on off the wall question here but I play in fullscreen 1080p and have noticed I get really bad lagg/ping times if I alt tab and open FF and have a few tabs open when looking up info and the like. I am ofc playing the game on a high setting but my pc should be able to handle it so just wondering if it's the game client not liking firefox and the like?

I ask as I don't have this problem with other newer games I play.

It was nice talking to you today. So I said I'd buy you an elite armor and the cheapest Warrior armors are the Norn, Asuran, and Monument armors (all of which are from the Eye of the North) and the Ancient armor (from Nighfall). The most expensive is the Obsidian armor, crafted in the Fissure of Woe elite area, followed by Kurzick and Luxon (from Factions), and Vabbian armor (from Nightfall), so maybe stay away from those for now. All the other armors are somewhere in between, in terms of price.
And, yes, all those elite armors have exactly the same stats but different skins.

You do have access to Underworld and Fissure of Woe actually. All you have to do is go to Embark Beach and use a Passage Scroll, which I have many since they drop from bosses in Hard Mode. But you can only got to the Domain of Anguish after you've completed the Nightfall campaign.

Now, in terms of weapons, I'll try to give you a summary of what mods people tend to use.

For a build that relies on dealing damage with a martial weapon like swords, axes, hammers, daggers, spears etc. you have to think about 3 types of mods: a prefix, a suffix, and an inscription (see this wiki page).

1) For the prefix, people generally use a sundering mod (if they are lazy like me) or a vampiric mod (if they want to pump out as much damage-per-second as possible). If you're using a build that consumes a lot of energy (let's say you have the elite skill Warrior's Endurance and you're using only skills that cost energy) then you'll want a zealous mod.

2) For the suffix, pretty much everybody uses Fortitude (+30 health) unless their build has one or more enchantment skills, in which case they use an Enchanting weapon for +20% Enchantment length.

3) For the inscription, almost everybody uses "Strength of Honor" for +15% damage while health is above 50% and I suggest you do the same :P

Now, for a caster profession, you have 3 options:

A) Use a staff, in which case you have to choose a prefix, suffix, and an inscription. This weapon will give you 10 energy and a 20% chance to halve the recharge time of ANY spell you use. If you do not meet the requirement of the staff then you will deal less damage with that weapon, which is negligible anyway.

1) For the prefix, most people either choose Insightful (+5 energy) or Hale (+30 health). It's just a matter of personal preference.

2) For the suffix, most people either use Fortitude (+30 health) or Enchanting (+20% enchantment length). So it depends on your build.

3) For the inscription, most people use Hale and Hearty (+5 energy while health above 50%) or Have Faith (+5 energy while enchanted). Again, it depends on the build.

B) Use a wand and focus which generally means that person wants a 40/40 set which will have a 36% chance of greatly reducing the recharge and casting time of a spell from only one attribute. So this would be a poor choice in a build with many non-spell skills or many spells from 2 or more attributes.

The wand has no inherent bonus but the focus gives +12 energy as long as you meet its attribute requirement.

C) Use a spear and a focus. In this situation, the spear generally has a prefix that increases the length of a condition (or no prefix at all), a suffix of Fortitude (+30 health) or Enchanting (+20% enchantment length), and an inscription of I have the Power (+5 energy) or Let the Memory Live Again (10% chance to halve the skill recharge of any spell).

And, for the focus, one could use a suffix of Aptitude (20% chance to halve the casting time of a spell from one attribute) or Fortitude (+30 heath), and an inscription of Forget Me Not (20% chance to halve the recharge of a spell from one attribute).

Like in option B, you need to make sure that you meet the requirement of the focus, if you're going to use this.
But the most interesting thing about option C is that the enemy AI will never cast Backfire or Chaos Storm on you, simply because that's how it was programmed.

Hope that helps, I tried to keep it as simple as I could. Let us know if you have any other questions

Sorry you are missing one of the Proph missions but there are only 24 so you must have missed a bonus on one. Need BOTH swords showing on the shield. One is for completing the mission and the other is for doing the bonus that comes with the mission. Look for the missing sword on one or more of them on your map. Having just one sword on only one mission shield prevents you from receiving your Protector title.

Schmerdo looks to be your guardian angel which is really great to have. A couple of people helped me out in my first guild like that with a few gold weapons to start with and lots of good advice and tips and even ran me to Lion's Arch with my first character so I could hop ship to Cantha and get max armor right off. Also good advice on the mods.

You probably know this site already but just in case this can give you ideas for yourself and your heroes. The Heroway I use is called "7 Hero Player Support" there under General --> Meta. I don't see the full 7 hero Discordway or Sabway there right now (must be blind) but they do show the three necro discord builds on the same page.

http://gwpvx.gamepedia.com/PvX_wiki

Also I don't know how melee characters pull it off since I've only done it with casters but you can get a free Rit hero by playing the game at Gunnar's in EotN called The Norn Fighting Tournament. You also get an Assassin (Kahmu) too playing it though his appearance is random so you might have to play more that once. But the Rit (Xandra) should appear as the second or third character you face in the game which is located nearest the storage vault in the outpost on the second level.

Anyway you "win" the Rit (and Sin if he appears) even if you fail to win all the opponents to the end. And a Rit hero you can get right away is easier than going all the way through Nightfall for the only other one in the game. Though having both is awesome.

Trouble with a melee character playing the game is you are alone for the challenge and need spirits or major heals mixed with your sword play. A caster can just use a SOS build and hide behind a wall of spirits that deal both offense and heal you. In fact if anyone has a good build to get melee characters through the bison tournament please post a build would you. Wiki has tips on it too but I suck at healing my melee chars alone.

Also if you win the challenge you get a great focus item -- The Bison Cup -- for one of your caster heroes to use or for yourself if you are a caster. It works with any caster profession and is a great addition and totally free.

http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Guide...ing_Tournament

Also at Gunnar's at ground level is Kilroy who allows you to run with him endlessly with brass knuckles he gives you to wreck revenge. When you win the upgraded brass knuckles at the end of the second quest hang on to it and NEVER merch it. It won't re-appear even if it is no longer in your possession. Only the lousy beginner's one will.

After you get the cool brass knuckles you can then run Kilroy's endlessly (the FIRST quest only) to get tons of XP points which adds to your skill point level. And expert salvaging the armor off of the enemies in that run can get you tons of useful runes. I've gotten the motherlode -- Superior Vigor -- there quite a few times. Also Major Vigor for my heroes to use and Survivor and expensive profession runes. All in normal mode. A lot of people take their characters there to max them up to level 20 running Kilroy's. And if you start another character at level 10 you can head north and quickly get to level 20 on Kilroy runs. Many people use it to go after the Survivor title. You just have to leave and return to Gunnar's (or switch districts) to re-set the quest again. Until level 8 you gain 250 Dwarf points a run as well in normal mode.

(Tip: If you have Assassin unlocked as one of your secondaries make a Kilroy build with all 12 points put into Dagger Mastery cause the brass knuckles you receive (and never merch - the ones after the second quest, not the beginners ones you start out with) act like daggers. (Well the beginners too but you aren''t saving those, Kilroy gives them out free every time you run the thing). Anyway you can rune them out with Sundering and Strength and Honor and +5 Armor (or +7 vs Physical Attack) mods and it makes the runs super easy).

Just thought I'd mention it for the XP points alone to build up your skill points.

But someone like an ele like Vekk with their huge energy reserves could run a decent enough rit or mes build too. I use SOS on my own main Ele a lot in small teams of 4 etc and Eles run SOS perfectly fine.
Before I got my merc pack I found the ranger hero at the beginning of NF made a pretty good rit also. Since rit spirits are considered skills I bump up expertise, so energy isn't an issue, equip her with a +5 energy and +30 ( if you can get one) longbow to encourage staying in the back line. Plus ranger are slightly more durable that rits.

Jin got me through some pretty tough missions.

^ Good point. You also get a ranger early on in EoTN in the Vanguard/Charr storyline too. Just mentioning cause if you want the ele over the ranger in NF (or already selected the ele) you still have a ranger in hand in the North. And certainly take Master of Whispers over the second NF ranger offered.

But yeah rangers can pop-up those spirits very well with little energy cost with Expertise though maybe not sustain them as well as an ele. But heroes are better at popping up the spirits then sustaining them any way. Mesmers are good at popping them too with Fast Casting replenishing energy quickly but of course getting that second mes requires making your way through a lot of NF first. Only advantage a rit has in running it's own line is that it can produce more damage per spirit with it's points and runes. But eles, mesmers and rangers as you mention (and the extra armor a Ranger has especially if you can't rune out a hero too well at the beginning) are good at SOS too.

And you can give a ranger a staff to use instead of a bow. That staff won't "wand" as much damage as the bow gives but I don't care about that small difference myself. With mods, +15 energy and +30 health is better for me. If you have Kerrsh's Staff the health goes way up to +60 allowing more attunement and radiant runes on the armor for extra energy instead of survivor and vitae for health. My ranger I play myself often uses SOS and uses Kerrsh's Staff and I find it the best build to survive anything. But my characters rarely stand around and "wand" anyway. I like to play a kind of aggressive and overly active SOS shall we say, heh. Not for everyone.

All good advice guys. I wanted to post which heroes I had earlier but it slipped my mind as I wrote some of the previous posts so here it is:

W20Jora
Mo20Dunkoro
Mo20Ogden Stonehealer
N/rt2- Livia
Me20 Gwen
E20Acolyte Souske
E20Vekk
D17Melonni
D/Mo20MOX
W20Koss (he has been kidnapped and current unavailable till I save him)

I also I am up to 19 minipets due to Schmerdro being so helpful! Also thanks for those weapons they are making a noticable difference.

I have also found that I need to get the Thirsty River mission bonus done (for the protector of tyria title) but think I will go back to it once my heroes are sorted out more. Tried it for awhile last night and kept failing the bonus. Think with my heroes sorted and killing a tad faster I will be able to do it.

I have followed your advice Gadd Fann and made some NF characters to learn some new skill and I am working on one last throwaway character but from Factions who is a rt/m and have worked my way to seitung harbor...just need a little more done to unlock the marketplace, once the marketplace is unlocked I thinks it's possible to run from there to kaineng where I can learn all the skill I want for rt and Mo. I will then be able to get back on Beldin and go play through factions, sorry Koss but you can stay a prisoner for awhile...lol

I really want to work my way to master of whispers and unlock discord, think there a couple more thing I want in that area but can't recall off the bat right now

lol koss (let him stay a prisoner for life).

for the thirsty river bonus...when you get to the last group flag your healer on top of the king so he stays alive (and then I usually take out the groups starting at my right and work my way around). Dont agro all the groups at once (and put your healer on guard or avoid so he wont agro either).

@OP: If you're looking for Warrior specific advice, check out my guide. I rewrote it earlier this year so it's up to date and should cover anything you could possibly want to know.

Also, I'll avoid unnecessary nitpicking over other bits of advice in this thread, but for completeness' sake:

Kahmu is actually a Dervish.

Also, SoS bars will get melee chars through the tournament perfectly well.

There's also Zei Ri, who you get after completing the Winds of Change quest chain (twice, in fact; once in normal mode and again in hard mode). This does make him immensely annoying to get though - WoC HM contains some of the hardest content in the game and you won't get him until after you've completed it...

^ Thanks. Totally forgot Kahmu was a derv. Shows how little I use Sin or Derv heroes other than Meloni for her quests in NF.

And when you say "SOS bars" for Norn Fighting Tournament for melee chars what exactly do you mean? SOS plus what other rit skills and how do you keep them up with low energy on melee characters? You can tell I play casters more than a warrior, heh. But I've been getting more into my warrior and derv of late so need some basics.

PS: Was glancing over your Warrior's Guide. Awesome stuff. Thanks.

You can just use Spirit Siphon after you cast a spirit so, even if you have a maximum of 20 energy, you can still use spirits that cost 15 energy or less. It's very manageable.

By the way Asm0deus, I know you probably have a billion things that you want to do right now but I want to let you know about one more. You can easily get a green minipet called the Black Moa Chick as long as you have access to various outposts, check the link
